  11. Regarding the registered ppp.device and thoughput: the non-registered
  12. ppp.device has a MTU set at 1500. My provider indicated a MTU of 
  13. 256 should be used on my connection. What kind of difference can MTU
  14. settings make? I don't have a clue whether to use owndeviceunit or shared
  15. options. Plus the FM lists a bunch more options..

  17. Also within Amitcp, are there things besides baud rate that will improve
  18. performance?  I am using the defaults mostly.
